This year, June 6, 2004 marks the 60th anniversary of the American-led invasion of the Normandy coast. This historic occasion will be celebrated with the dedication of the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C.

  See Maj. Gen. James Earl Rudder, commander of the 2nd Ranger Battalion in the assault on Pointe Du Hoc and later commander of the 109th Infantry Regiment from the Battle of the Bulge to the end of the war.

• Grave site of Brigadier General Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. First born son of President Theodore Roosevelt and Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient.

• Grave sites of Quentin Roosevelt and older brother Bridadier General Theodore Roosevelt Jr. Quentin (born Nov. 19 1897) was killed in WW I when his aircraft was shot down behind enemy lines on July 14, 1918. Originally buried in Reims, France then later reinterred next to his brother.
