APPLIED ACADEMICS

Applied Academics is a logical extension to the Industrial Technology Program. Students will be offered a choice of learning modules in both the Itech Computer Lab as well as the Fabrication Lab. Students will work in pairs and will use all of the resources offered in Industrial Technology which include, power equipment, welding equipment, computers, modems, a Satellite Dish, and a series of CD Rom programs. In addition each student will develop an individual portfolio or Home Page. The portfolio will contain completed activities and projects which will be presented for a final grade.


The learning modules extend from the Industrial Technology Cluster Units: Communication, Construction, Manufacturing, Power Energy and Transportation.. The students will be using today's technology to learn about the technology of the future.
