Current Position:

Project Coordinator of the M.A.S.T.E.R.S. Program.

Industrial Technology, Space Design and Construction and US History Instructor at Ralston Middle School. 1972 to 2010. Recent employment include positions at NAS (Numerical Aerospace Simulation) NASA-Ames Research facility for MRJ Technology Solutions, Lockheed Space Engineering and NASA's Educational Associate Program. IISME fellow employed at think3, 2000 and 2001.

Selected as charter inductee of "Who's Who in American Education" (1991).
Served as Belmont School District Technology Mentor 1991,1992,1993.
Selected as fellow in the IISME-Vision Program 1992
Selected as IISME Summer Fellow 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2000 and 2001.
Employed at NAS (Numerical Aerodynamic Simulation 1994-1995-1996-1998) at NASA-Ames Research Center.
Selected as NASA-sponsored instructor in the CEA Astrophysics, (now the Center for Science Education) 650 Satellite Missions Program at UC Berkeley 1994
Selected as Mentor in Astrophysics 650 Satellite Missions Program at UC Berkeley 1995.

Activities at Stellar

Assigned to Pyschophysiological Research Lab under the direction of Dr. Pat Cowings and Dr. Bill Toscano in the area of AFTS (Autogenic-Feedback Training System). This training used on STS-47, STS-51C, and STS-51B as a method of preventing motion sickness. For more information on the system and apparatus (AFS-2, and the LBNP Chamber), see AFTS.

Computer Skills:

Competent in PC and Macintosh environments. Experience on SGI and Sun Workstations. Video import on Galileo on SGI. Extensive work on networking, html, homepage construction. Image processing and video applications for WWW pages. GIF/Audio/Video capability on SGI Indy using applications XV, VI, Jot and Moviemaker. Graphics include work utilizing Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canvas, CAD-Key/3-D Swivel, and solid modeling (Trispectives) and think3's Thinkdesign. Currently engaged in constructing Java applets and applications and 3D Browser fabrication.


Current Goal:

Upgrade and redesign the Ralston Itech Lab. See "Moving to the Future" and incorporate new modules into the program. Note: "Moving to the Future" first submitted in 1994. and continue in the IISME Program. In addition, I would like to continue my association with NAS and similar research based facilities using the WWW as a major educational tool in promoting Remote Collaboration. This will combine all components offered in the Ralston Industrial Technology Lab. I would also like to explore IISME fellowships to improve the Technology CAD module.
