SPACE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SPACE SETTLEMENT DESIGN
| Welcome to the new Ralston Itech elective which will examine Space History from Project Mercury to the building of the ISS. This elective will combine all four cluster areas of Industrial Technology . The course theme will focus on the design and fabrication of the International Space Station and Space Settlement Design. Cluster Areas of instruction will include the Power, Energy and Transportation and Construction learning modules.
The patch displayed below represents a new cooperative era in the design and construction of an International Space Station. This was the historic docking of STS-71 Atlantis to the orbiting Russian Space Station Mir. (June 1995). NOTE: Mir mission completed March 22, 2001. James B. and Alex D. recieve Honorable Mention in the What If Prize Competition. Congratulations to both of these fine students as their Submission EE was judged the second best project in the 7th Grade Competition. A Remarkable achievement, over 275 teams competed in this national competition.
